Mission

Serving Developers is a long-form conversation for professionals whose primary customer is the software developer.

A perspective on the business-to-developer go-to-market strategy and business model through the lens of service leadership, this blog features essays from experienced professionals serving developers and robust discussion following those topics from the people who do that work.

About The Editor

Serving Developers is planted and watered by Rob Spectre, a Brooklyn-based technologist with thirteen years in software startups and eight years working in business-to-developer roles. Having served the Boxee and Twilio developer communities, Rob is a software engineer by trade, historian by training and a musical comic by accident.

For the past eight years, Rob would have conversations about the business of business-to-developer a couple times a week with entrepreneurs and executives around the world. Coming up short on free time for those discussions while starting his own company, Rob started Serving Developers to centralize the conversations he was already having in a forum that anyone can GET and – critically – POST.

Rob is currently serving childsafe.ai, the artificial intelligence platform protecting kids online and romping around the Bowery with an adorable pupper named Ada.
